The New Search Function

Thermal Corporation has just launched a new and exciting feature on the website: a search function! The search function allows a customer to easily find what they are looking for on the website. It is represented at the top of each webpage as a single-line text box with a clickable button.

 

How it works

In the text box, the customer can type in any search term such as, “controller”, “cartridge heater”, or “thermocouple and rtd”, and then click the “Search” button beside the text box. The customer will then be redirected to the search results page.

 

 

The Search Results Page

The search results page will show links to any products, blogs, or pages on the Thermal Corporation site that are related to the customer’s search term displayed as a bulleted list. The customer can then click on any of the links in the search results list that are of interest. After clicking any link in the search results page, the customer will be redirected from the search results to the linked page they selected.

 

Back to Search Results?

There is not currently a “Back to Search Results” link available after the customer clicks one of the links on the results list. So, in order to see the results of their search again, the customer must click the back arrow on their browser or retype their search term into the search box at the top of the page. However, our web developers are currently working on getting a “Back to Search Results” feature up and running to make it easier for customers to get back to the original search results page.
